Tiger will open a new boutique in Lille at 29 rue Esquermoise late November. This 140-square meter space will offer a unique selection of items created exclusively in Denmark. This will be the first Tiger store in France’s Nord-Pas de Calais region. With the addition of the new Lille store, Tiger will have six locations in France. The others are in Marseille, Nice, Cagnes-sur-Mer and Aix-en-Provence.
“We are thrilled to be here in Lille’s old town, an authentic, historic district. We can be found at 29 rue Esquermoise and hope that Lille residents will enjoy discovering Tiger’s creative universe,” say Javier Abaroa and Sébastien Vietti, the two local partners responsible for launching the brand in northeastern France.
Designed with love in Denmark
Tiger’s design team, based in Copenhagen, creates close to 300 new products every month that clients can admire on store shelves. There are a large selection of objects created just for them. They see items they need, items they’ve been dreaming about, and items that they never even knew existed–for the house, entertaining, the kids, expressing their creativity and, above all, for having fun, and always at very reasonable prices.
“We want to encourage our customers to be creative, try new things and have a good time with the people they love,” notes Javier. “We are excited to be able to bring accessible Danish design to Lille. We hope to inspire shoppers here in northern France to discover the world according to TIGER: be creative and, above all, enjoy yourselves in our stores!” adds Sébastien.
New Tiger stores every week
Tiger is new to Lille but has been around since 1995 when the first Tiger store opened in Copenhagen, Denmark. Today, there are already 500 Tiger stores throughout Europe, the United States and Japan. On average, three new Tiger stores open every week around the world.
Xavier Vidal, Tiger CEO, shares his thoughts on the brand’s impressive growth:
The success that has led to our 500 stores worldwide gives credence to our strong development strategy based on the simple and unique idea of providing a product that makes clients from Nagoya to New York happy.
