European leader in the manufacture and sale of low-speed lifts goes international by locating in France.
The subsidiary of the swedish group, Cibes Lift France, selected the city of Roncq, in the Lille metro area, as its new home. The office is scheduled to open in the September 2015and the company plans to create 20 new jobs by 2017.
Founded in 1947, the group is experiencing strong growth and reached sales of €50 million in 2014. It has more than 200 employees, located in 9 countries: Belgium, China, Finland, France, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the UK.
Cibes Lift: a global coverage of nearly 50 countries.
The company has a network of more than 200 distributors that give it a presence throughout the world, in close to 50 countries.
We have been in France for several years, via our distribution network. To improve our visibility and boost sales, the next logical step was to acquire a stronger base in France. Our goal is to triple current sales volume within three years by first focusing on northern France, then extending our presence to the country’s other large cities, including Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux and Marseille.
Rudi Leusink, CEO of Cibes Lift France
Cibes Lift France chose Roncq in the Lille Metro area
The Lille region made the company’s short list, along with Alsace. In the end, they chose Métropole Européenne de Lille, (MEL), the Lille Metro area, for several reasons. The proximity of the company’s Beglian and Dutch subsidiaries played a role as did the strong economy in Lille and the region, along with the services offered by Lille’s agency.
You really feel alone when you arrive into a new business community. Lille’s agency’s team played its role perfectly as a creator of opportunity and was very responsive to my needs.
Frédéric Lecoeuvre, the new Manager of Cibes Lift France
Luc Doublet, president of Lille’s agency, was pleased with the arrival of Cibes Lift France. The company has international investors and is a leader in its industry. He points out that there could be more Swedish investment in the region and that Lille’s agency can play an important role by finding and assisting with these types of international projects.
Vincent Ledoux, mayor of Roncq and vice-president of Economic Development and Employment for the Lille Metro Area is thrilled to count CIBES Lift France among the 650 companies located in Roncq. CIBES Lift is only the second Swedish-funded company in the city, after Arjo Huntleigh. It can look forward to assistance from the region to help with its success. Welcome, Cibes Lift France!
Cibes Lift France focus on three values that bring success to its brands:
- Timeless design,
- Flawless Scandinavian quality,
- Sustainable development.
The lifts have a low-consumption design and operate without using hydraulic fluid. This significantly reduces their environmental impact.
The company is planning to add 5 bilingual (French-English) sales reps before the end of the year as part of its plan to have a 20-person sales team in place by 2017.
In addition, depending on future performance, CIBES Lift France may open a warehouse in France within the next few years. And, of course, that would be in the Lille metro area too!
